In this episode I’m talking about an article written by Hope Gerlach-Houck and Eilidh Cage, about concealment in stuttering. This article outlines the experience of 30 adults who stutter with concealment. It shows how these behaviours can be complex, variable, intersectional and neither entirely positive nor negative depending on the personal pathway of a person. This article is a very interesting contribution to understand how people navigate in life with stuttering in an ableist society.
